The artist is a physical manifestation of art gallery lingo, as in "the artist will be in attendance". By wearing THE ARTIST t-shirt, I was able to transcend my existence as an art student and resituate myself in the realm of the professional artist. For this event, I sent out a press release for "The Artist's" autograph signing and created a fictional 28 page CV using those of 8 mid-career and established artists.
