An Ikea chair looks-on from behind a velvet rope as its counterpart, a double-sized, handcrafted version of itself, sits illuminated in the Ivan Gallery. Its presence questions the distinction and importance of Art versus ordinary objects, or more importantly, the gallery threshold's ability to turn ordinary objects into art.
